Serving All - Going Deeper

Pathway Points

Stepping Up for Jesus

Time for the next installment of our journey along Grace Church’s Discipleship Pathway. This week, let’s continue to look at the Serve All part. Remember, the descriptions are not meant to be exhaustive (or judgmental); they are intended for self-evaluation, and, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, to help you better understand what each step on the Pathway looks like in the life of a believer.

For those of you that are ready to Go Deeper, it’s time to consider leading a small group and making daily Bible study and prayer a priority. The amazing part about Jesus and discipleship is everyone can lead someone. If you want an excellent look at just how unqualified the 12 disciples were, check out the book Losers Like Us by Daniel Hochhalter. If they can do it, we can do it!

At Grace, we just ask that you be one step ahead of the folks you’re leading. In some cases, that means you have a degree from a Bible College. In most cases, it means you’re willing to be in charge of the DVD and ask the questions in the workbook. The good news is, if you’re willing to step out in faith and lead, either one of the pastors or I  will be very happy to come along side of you, pray for you, and help you in any way we can.

If you feel the Spirit’s nudging and you think that leading a small group might be the next step for you, email me at Monica.Lebsack@BayCityGraceChurch.org or call me at 225-2587, and let’s talk.

Stepping up with you in His strength!

At Grace, one of my responsibilities is to publish a weekly article in our e-newsletter, GraceNotes, about discipleship. Specifically, about the various components of our Discipleship Pathway and how a person could journey along it. This is my most recent article.
