Change Lives - Going Deeper

Pathway Points

Stepping Up for Jesus

Wow! The summer is coming to a close and we’re nearly done with our journey along Grace Church’s Discipleship Pathway. This week, let’s Go Deeper on the Change Lives part. Remember, the descriptions are not meant to be exhaustive (or judgmental); they are intended for self-evaluation, and, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, to help you better understand what each step on the Pathway looks like in the life of a believer.

Going Deeper would be to commit to leading a ministry or administrative team in the church & participate in ongoing missional service outside the church.  Sharing your faith has now become a natural outflow of your daily life. This can take on many forms, but the key is making a commitment to help lead a team as they serve regularly. Internally, this could be you agreeing to recruit and train greeters or ushers (something that I need help with at East). Maybe kids are your thing, so you could volunteer to teach Sunday School often, maybe even lead their worship portion. Externally, perhaps you agree to coordinate part of Freaky Friday or Food of Faith. For more information, or to volunteer, talk to me, Pastor Eric, Pastor Jeff, Matt Coppess, our new Student and Family Ministries Director, or Marty Doring, our Missions Coordinator.

Stepping up with you in His strength!

At Grace, one of my responsibilities is to publish a weekly article in our e-newsletter, GraceNotes, about discipleship. Specifically, about the various components of our Discipleship Pathway and how a person could journey along it. This is my most recent article.
