Change Lives - Starting Point

Pathway Points

Stepping Up for Jesus

Time for the next installment of our journey along Grace Church’s Discipleship Pathway. This week, let’s move on to the Change Lives part. Remember, the descriptions are not meant to be exhaustive (or judgmental); they are intended for self-evaluation, and, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, to help you better understand what each step on the Pathway looks like in the life of a believer.

The Change Lives part of the Pathway focuses on how a person can serve people outside of the Grace community. Starting out, volunteer occasionally for ministry or service projects in the Bay City community. Grace Church provides several opportunities. On Fridays in the summer, we lead Freaky Friday at the Salvation Army, a kid’s program that provides stories, music, crafts, games, special events, snacks and more to kids in Bay City's First Ward (Freaky Fridays at Salvation Army bring art, food, inspiration to kids | MLive.com). We also participate in Food of Faith, an “interdenominational mission to feed those in need in a safe Christian environment located at Trinity Episcopal Church” (Food Of Faith). We also have several one-time events that happen throughout the year. For more information, or to volunteer, talk to me, Pastor Eric, Pastor Jeff, or Marty Doring, our Missions Coordinator.

Stepping up with you in His strength!

At Grace, one of my responsibilities is to publish a weekly article in our e-newsletter, GraceNotes, about discipleship. Specifically, about the various components of our Discipleship Pathway and how a person could journey along it. This is my most recent article.
