Discipleship - Living an Integrated Life

Pathway Points

Stepping Up for Jesus

At Grace, our Discipleship Pathway is a description of what the life of a Disciple of Jesus Christ might look like. Remember, the descriptions are not meant to be exhaustive (or judgmental); they are intended for self-evaluation, and, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, to help you better understand what each step on the Pathway looks like in the life of a believer.

We’ve spent the summer looking at each piece individually. Today, I want to remind you that all of the pieces are meant to be woven together throughout your whole life (not just Sunday mornings). To remind each of us of that, the following is written at the bottom of the Pathway document and the symbol is made up of all three parts—Love God, Serve All, & Change Lives—in overlapping and interwoven circles.

When I am living an integrated spiritual life as an apprentice of Jesus, each part of the pathway – Loving God, Serving All, and Changing Lives – intersects with the others, giving evidence to all that following Jesus is the most vital part of my life!

Stepping up with you in His strength!

At Grace, one of my responsibilities is to publish a weekly article in our e-newsletter, GraceNotes, about discipleship. Specifically, about the various components of our Discipleship Pathway and how a person could journey along it. This is my most recent article.
