Stepping Up for Jesus
It’s GraceLink time again. That’s the time, three times per
year, that we at Grace make a concerted effort to create new groups and get
everyone involved in a group. In the fall, typically we have a church-wide
study. That’s where for five weeks, starting on September 16th this
year, the pastors will preach a series that will relate to the books and videos
that all of the groups will be reading and watching. We encourage everyone to Grab a free resource, Gather a few friends, and Grow with us!
So, what if being in a group is old-hat? Well, it sounds like you need to go deeper. You need to be the salt and light to the world around you. Instead of doing the church-wide study with the same-old crowd, take a leap-of-faith and ask some new people to do the study with you, and encourage the people in the same-old crowd to do the same. You could ask your neighbors, the people that you work with, the folks in your exercise class. I even asked the receptionist at my doctor’s office and now she’s a regular at my Wednesday Evening Gathering.
