Back-to-Church Sunday!

Stepping Up for Jesus

Have you ever thought about the Change Lives part of Grace’s vision? Somewhere along the lines, you made the choice to follow Jesus. For some of us, we grew up in the church, so we don’t have a distinct memory of being “saved.” However, no matter if we have a dramatic story or not, at some point as an adult we had to choose to make following Jesus our own, and if we’re honest, we began to change. As we chose Jesus’s way instead of the world’s way, our lives began to look a little bit less like the average person and a little bit more like Jesus. We’re called to offer that change to others by introducing them to Jesus, too.

One of the easiest ways to begin introducing others to Jesus is through passing out door-to-door invitations. The invitations do all the “talking,” all you have to do is put them in the doors in a neighborhood and be friendly if you see people. This Saturday, Grace Church is blanketing the neighborhoods around both campuses with invitations to Back-to-Church Sunday, September 16th, and we need your help.

If you’re available Saturday from 12p—1p, meet Pastor Jeff at East Campus. Contact him for more information: jeff.temple@baycitygracechurch.org

If you’re available Saturday from 3p—5p, meet Monica at her house near West Campus. You can find more information here: Door-to-Door Invitations or contact her at Monica.Lebsack@baycitygracechurch.org

At Grace, one of my responsibilities is to publish a weekly article in our e-newsletter, GraceNotes, about discipleship. Specifically, about the various components of our Discipleship Pathway and how a person could journey along it. This is my most recent article.
