Praying for Your Pastor

Stepping Up for Jesus

Did you know that there’s a holiday in October? What, Halloween? Well, yes, but I’m thinking of one that gets celebrated all month long. No guesses? It’s Pastor Appreciation Month! It’s the time of year where we’ve made it through all the fall new beginnings and we’re settling into a routine. There’s a bit of a lull between now and the craziness of the holiday season. It’s the perfect time to thank our pastors for all the hard work that they’ve done and encourage them as they prepare for Christmas.

There’s lots of things that you can do to show your appreciation without spending any money, although gifts are always welcomed. You can write a note telling them something specific that you are thankful they have done. For our tech savvy folks, record a video using your phone instead of writing a note. For other ideas, check out (More than) 10 ways to appreciate your pastor.

One way to say thank you that would be fantastic is to pray for our pastors. Did you know that they pray for you regularly and specifically? How about returning the favor? For ideas on what to say, try 15 ways to pray for your pastor.

Stepping up with you in His strength!
